Fastems / Doosan Cell
The Fastems / Doosan Cell gives Westwood Precision a lot of flexibility to be able to react to customers changing requirements. The cell consists of two each of a Doosan HP4000 Horizontal Machining center. With a total of 50 400mm pallets. The specs are:
- 4 Axis with .001-degree rotation
- 23.6” x 22” x 23.6” (X, Y, Z)
- 14,000 RPM, BT-40 Spindle.
- ATC of 256 tools in each machine
Mazak Integrex i-300 ST
The INTEGREX i-300ST multi-Tasking machine delivers maximum versatility and throughput. The machine combines the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center to produce parts in single setups, along with innovative functionality.
This machine configuration features a second turning spindle for “Done in One” machining; lower turret, minimizing fixtures, tools, handling, and non-cut time, with a full range of “Mazak Smooth Technology” solutions for “Done in One”.
Additionally, the machine significantly reduces lead times and improves part accuracy through the elimination of multiple setups. With full 5-axis capability, the machine easily processes fully prismatic parts from solid blocks, round parts, or sculptured parts such as Aerospace and Medical components.
Citizen CINCOM L20
The Citizen CINCOM L20 series lathe should be fully appreciated for its speed and tooling flexibility. This Swiss Screw machine is capable of large runs of parts in a very efficient way, however, Westwood Precision is using the machine for small runs of parts, where the Swiss methodology is a superior process for both accuracy and efficiency.
Citizen CINCOM L32
The Citizen CINCOM L32 series lathe is a 1 ¼” capacity machine that should be fully appreciated for its speed and tooling flexibility. This Swiss Screw machine is capable of large runs of parts in a very efficient way, however, Westwood Precision is using the machine for small runs of parts, where the Swiss methodology is a superior process for both accuracy and efficiency.
Doosan TT1800SY
The PUMA TT Series was designed for superior accuracy. Twin turrets and twin spindles are a great high productivity solution, especially for handling small-sized & complex parts production. Multi-tasking capabilities increase productivity by reducing work in process, “off in one”.
Doosan DNM 350/5AX
The DNM/5AX is ideal for intricate parts that are prismatic, helical, or have angular features. By reducing setups, increasing throughput and efficiency we can be more efficient and cost effective. In many cases, parts can be “Done in One.”
YCM
The YCM WV 108B is a BT50 taper machine that is ideal for a wide range of work, especially larger parts made of materials such as Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Titanium. The envelope is 44” x 30” x 27.5” (X, Y, Z). The pallet changer and the 4th Axis make this machine extremely versatile and productive.
